I have been trying several ways to get into the GTD craze, and I sure need something like it to help me manage just about everything from projects to shopping lists ☺

After trying a few including a Beta of Omnigroup’s Focus I have found that I really like Things by CulturedCode. Whilst I simply adore Omnigroup’s Outliner I have found that Focus is a little ‘too GTD’ for me and I really do not need all the stuff they have put in there, although it truly is outstanding! The reason I like Things is the interface is super simple, getting items in there is very easy using a nice little hotkey combination to bring up a entry panel from anywhere in your system. And at a glance I can see the state of everything and where I should be looking next.

Give it a look, there is a great screencast on the ways of the app as well on their site. I will be eagerly awaiting the final release in the Spring of 08 according to the site.
