You can read about the new features here, not surprisingly a lot comes from the last years release of iPhone 09 however there is plenty in there to make me smile. I’ll be ordering the upgrade as soon as the store is up and there will be a demo at this link for us all to play with in the mean time.

Updated the video to show a new feature of my upcoming multi-platform application ‘I Paid Who?’.
Adobe has released to the public BETA’s of the newly rebranded Flex Builder which is now called Flash Builder 4 and Flash Catalyst the design tool for interactive development between designers and developers.
You can jump to the labs to read, download the applications and watch the videos. I strongly recommend watching the videos!
Personally I’m pretty darn excited about Flash Builder 4 and the new features, a lot of them are great time savers for coders, testers and rapid development.
Have a Wacom tablet? Then why not control the opacity of your brushes using the pen just like pencil and paper. This video shows you how to set-up Photoshop CS4 brushes to respond to brush pressure on Wacom tablets. The harder you push the more opaque the brush will be. A bonus at the end shows how to set this globally across all the brush presets with one button click rather than setting up on a per brush basis.
I want to give a big thank you to Lisa Sage for pointing me in the right direction on the global brush setting, Lisa is an amazing artist and you should visit her web site at http://www.sagefamilystudios.com.

CandyBar – Ultimate Mac Icon manaagement application.
Transit – The defacto Mac FTP application.
Coda – One window web development (this is a MUST if you do web work)
Unison – News reading and posting software.
I use them all, love them all and recommend them all.
So finally here is some information on my application I am calling
‘I Paid Who?’.
What’s it do?
The application came about as a solution to a problem I had. I wanted a way to record my charity donations and easily get at the data. I soon realized that it might be useful to others as a payment notepad. To that end you can record the following information in a record: name, date, amount and a text note.
You can also edit and delete records, this is the planned feature set for the initial release although I have a list of features I would already like to add eventually including report style printing, search and view filtering by name, date and amount (you can currently sort the list by name & date). Along with features to allow for easier recording of entries, things like being able to chose from names currently in the database rather than typing them every time.
My plan is to expand the application slowly ensuring each release is solid and reduce the possibility of bugs or problems as I go.
Is there something I can see?
Indeed, here is a link to a video!. I have not made a web site yet for it as I have been focusing on getting the application ready.
But I have opinions and want to express them!
Well OK then, get over to the forums and share them.
When will it be ready?
At the moment it is still in development and testing, I have work to do on the look and feel of the interface now that the basic core functionality is in place. I also have a list of features that I plan to add as it moves along and you can read about those in the forums until the web site is ready.
Nothing, I had not planned to charge for this and have no plans at this time to start doing so, but I reserve the right to change my mind if the application feature set reaches a point that it requires more of my time to work on it.
