Day #270

Updated the video to show a new feature of my upcoming multi-platform application ‘I Paid Who?’.

Find it here.

So finally here is some information on my application I am calling
‘I Paid Who?’.

What’s it do?

The application came about as a solution to a problem I had. I wanted a way to record my charity donations and easily get at the data. I soon realized that it might be useful to others as a payment notepad. To that end you can record the following information in a record: name, date, amount and a text note.

You can also edit and delete records, this is the planned feature set for the initial release although I have a list of features I would already like to add eventually including report style printing, search and view filtering by name, date and amount (you can currently sort the list by name & date). Along with features to allow for easier recording of entries, things like being able to chose from names currently in the database rather than typing them every time.

My plan is to expand the application slowly ensuring each release is solid and reduce the possibility of bugs or problems as I go.

Is there something I can see?

Indeed, here is a link to a video!. I have not made a web site yet for it as I have been focusing on getting the application ready.

But I have opinions and want to express them!

Well OK then, get over to the forums and share them.

When will it be ready?

At the moment it is still in development and testing, I have work to do on the look and feel of the interface now that the basic core functionality is in place. I also have a list of features that I plan to add as it moves along and you can read about those in the forums until the web site is ready.

How much?

Nothing, I had not planned to charge for this and have no plans at this time to start doing so, but I reserve the right to change my mind if the application feature set reaches a point that it requires more of my time to work on it.
