Microsoft has released SilverLight 2.0

I still think SilverLight is an interesting technology that is worthy of consideration, and as a developer I believe in at least understanding technologies even if I do not see an immediate use for it and it is always good to have more than one option for any given development problem that needs solving (and it keeps Adobe on their toes with the Flash platform, my personal favorite still). Personally I still think it has a long way to go to get anywhere near the user base penetration it needs to compete with Adobe Flash (Yes I know they can force it on people with Microsoft update). However the bigger problem I think for Microsoft is getting a developer base that will help evangelize the platform.
