Adobe releases public BETA of Flash Catalyst and Flash Builder 4

Adobe has released to the public BETA’s of the newly rebranded Flex Builder which is now called Flash Builder 4 and Flash Catalyst the design tool for interactive development between designers and developers. Application revealed – I Paid Who?

So finally here is some information on my application I am calling ‘I Paid Who?’. What’s it do? The application came about as a solution to a problem I had. I wanted a way to record my charity donations and easily get at the data. I soon realized that it might be useful to others

Let the puzzle begin, I’ve been working on something!

I am not ready to reveal yet but here is a tease, I am working on an Adobe AIR application. The idea was to solve a problem for myself but then I realized others might like it too. Here is my current icon idea.

My new site is up

I am happy to announce my new site is up. The new design sites on top of WordPress 2.7, that is why it took so long to build and check that all the plugins worked nicely together. I still have content to move over and new stuff to add along with some minor fixes, but

Flex ComboBox, how to add a prompt

I have uploaded some sample code to demonstrate how you can add a prompt as the first item in a Flex ComboBox component without having to add it to the data and without having a default selection after the component is initialized. Find the code here.
